Paul Erdos
Paul Erdos died on September 20, 1996, in Warsaw. He was 83.
He was attending a Minisemester for Combinatorics in Warsaw, gave
two lectures. Vera Sós and András Sárközi
were leaving Budapest for Warsaw on 21st, and Paul's original plan
was to fly with them from Warsaw to Vilnius for the Kubilius Conference.
According to the doctors, Paul Erdos had two heart attacks, and
the second one killed him. Early Friday morning he felt heart
problems. He was
carried to a hospital, where he died in the afternoon.
