Dear Sir / Miss / Ms,

We would like to draw your attention for the fact that CEMAT (Center 
for Mathematics and its Applications of IST) offers 2 research positions 
in the fields of Statistics and Stochastic Processes or Computational 
Mathematics, Numerical Analysis and Partial Differential Equations. It 
is aimed that one of these positions will be occupied by a candiadate 
that will work on applications to telecommunications (such as, IP 
traffic modelling or ad-hoc networs).

The candidates should hold a PhD in Applied Mathematics, Statistics, 
Operations Research, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Physics or 
similar. Candidates should have a high quality research record and at 
least 3 years of post-doctoral research experience.

The successful candidates will receive a salary in accordance with the 
university regulations for a senior researcher. The contracts offered 
will have the duration of up to 5 years, renewed yearly based on mutual 
agreement. The minimum annual gross income, before taxes, will be 
3,038.06 Euros x 14 months.
