Need some help travelling to Valencia in 2010?
ISBA 10/ Valencia 9 Student Video Competition
The International Society for Bayesian Analysis welcomes entries for
the inaugural Student Video Competition, in conjunction with the 2010
ISBA World Meeting/9th Valencia International Meeting on Bayesian
Statistics. The competition provides the opportunity for PhD students
to promote their research by making a short video, aimed at
undergraduate students interested in a career in statistics.
The [WINDOWS-1252?]process?
To enter, you first need to write a maximum 300 word abstract about
your research.
Shortlisted entries will then be invited to make a 3-5 minute video.
Submitted videos will be judged by a panel of ISBA members.
Please note that selected abstracts and videos
may be included in promotional material and
shown at the Valencia meeting.
The [WINDOWS-1252?]prize?
The winner will receive USD$750 funding to attend the 2010 ISBA World
Meeting/Ninth Valencia Conference, to be held on 3rd-8th June, 2010.
For the winner, this amount may be negotiated depending on
geographical proximity to the conference.
Eligibility criteria?
To be eligible, you must be an ISBA member and a PhD candidate
studying in any area of Bayesian Statistics on the deadline of
abstract submission (see below).

by 5pm AEST (UTC + 10) Tuesday, 1st December, 2009.
Shortlisted students will be notified by email before Monday, 21st
December, 2009.
Videos due by 5pm AEST Friday, 29th January, 2010.
