novo livro sobre ensaios clinicos Bayesianos

  Prezados redistas,

  Uma área muito importante para a estatística aplicada é relacionada à 
bioequivalência.Milhares (ou milhões) de pessoas morrem anualmente no mundo 
inteiro por receberem  medicamentos genéricos ineficientes pois a 
metodologia estatística usada e regulamentada por organismos internacionais 
nem sempre é apropriada.Acho que esse tema deveria ser mais discutido pelos 
estatísticos brasileiros.Orientei um mestrado na área de bioestatística 
(Roberto M. Souza) no departamento de medicina social da FMRP-USP em 
Ribeirão Preto que resultou em alguns artigos  entre os quais destaco o 
artigo (DeSouza, R.M., Achcar, J.A., and Martinez, E.Z. (2009).Use of 
Bayesian methods for multivariate bioequivalence measures. J. 
Biopharmaceutical Statistics, 19, 42-66) e esse trabalho será discutido e 
mencionado em um novo livro sobre ensaios clínicos Bayesianos que está sendo 
preparado por Brad  Carlin, Don and Scott Berry, Peter Muller, and Jack 
Lee).Isso me deixa muito feliz (e-mail do Brad Carlin abaixo),e engradece o 
trabalho que estamos realizando em Ribeirão Preto (junto com  Edson 
Zangiacomi Martinez).
