Guy Medal in Gold

Informo que o Professor CR Rao recebeu a Guy Medal In Gold de 2011 da Royal Statistical Society.
A citaçao diz :
"The Guy Medal in Gold is awarded to Calyampudi Radhakrishna Rao for his fundamental contributions to statistical theory and methodology, including umbiased estimation, variance reduction by sufficience, eficient estimation , information geometry , as well as the application of matrix theory in linear statistical inference"
Nos ultimos 100 anos somente 2 nao Britanicos recebeu esta medalha.

Ano passado no dia 3 de janeiro ele tambem ganhou India Science Award
"Eminent statistician C.R. Rao has been named for India’s top science award in recognition of his distinguished services to the country."

Alem dessas ele tinha tambem recebido a National Medal das maos do Presidente Bush e o primeiro  Malahanobis prize ( de quem era o maior discipulo)m que é concedido a eminentes estatisticos do mundo em desenvolvimento. Nosso colega Morettin foi o terceiro a ganhar este ultimo premio
