The editorial board of the International Statistical Review is seeking good quality review and expository papers. We are refocusing the IS Review as a true review journal that publishes articles of broad interest. The term review is interpreted broadly to include a wide range of papers that include, but are not limited to, the following:
· reviews/surveys of past developments in theory, methodology, statistical computing and graphics, statistical education, and application areas; · tutorials on important topics; · expository papers on emerging areas of research or application; · papers describing new developments and/or challenges in relevant areas; · white papers on topics of importance to the profession or society; · historical assessment of seminal papers in the field and their impact; and · articles on history of statistics and probability; · interviews with statisticians who have made prominent contributions to research and applications and to the development of the profession.
IS Review is the flagship journal of the International Statistical Institute and its family of seven Associations. These include: Bernoulli Society, International Association for Official Statistics, International Association for Statistical Computing, International Association for Statistics Education, International Association of Survey Statistics, International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics, and The International Environmetrics Society. The journal is published by Wiley-Blackwell for the ISI.
Potential authors with questions and proposals for or outlines of papers are encouraged to contact one of us.
