Abs Alexandra ========================================================================= PhD School in Statistics, University of Padua, Italy - "CIENCIA SEM FRONTEIRAS" programme ========================================================================= The PhD School in Statistics (http://www.stat.unipd.it/phd) of the University of Padova is pleased to announce the availability of no. 2 positions for sandwich PhD scholarships ('doutorado sanduiche'), no. 2 positions for full PhD scholarships ('doutorado pleno') and no. 2 post-doc positions ('pós doutorado') within the Brazilian "Science without Borders" programme (http://www.cienciasemfronteiras.gov.br). The University of Padova (http://www.unipd.it) lists among the fourteen Italian Institutions, which on November 2011 established the Italian "Science without Borders" Network (http://cienciasemfronteiras.unibo.it) for the exchange of students, scientists and scholars within the main programme. It shares its objectives of consolidating and expanding international scientific collaboration and strongly supports the programme by offering a wide range of study and scientific opportunities from undergraduate studies to post-doc involvement in research projects and labs. The PhD School in Statistics is hosted by the Department of Statistics (http://www.stat.unipd.it). The Doctoral courses will start on January 2013, and will end on December 2015. All lectures are given in English. Brazilian post-grad and post-doc students are highly encouraged to apply for admission.
