The Fourth Chilean Workshop on Pattern Recognition (CWPR 2012) will
take place in Valparaiso, Chile, next November 12-16th, 2012. The
workshop  is organized by the Chilean Association for Pattern
Recognition (AChiRP). The event is part of the Jornadas Chilenas de
Computacion 2012, a wider national-level event that comprises a number
of conferences and workshops, and it is organized by the Chilean
Society of Computation Science (SCCC) and the Pontificia Universidad
Catolica de Valparaiso (PUCV). The CWPR 2012 will be a fruitful forum
for the sharing of new knowledge and exchange of international
scientific results and experiences in pattern recognition and related
areas.


Topics of interests

--------------------------

The topics correspond to several disciplines as Computer Science,
Informatics, Electrical, Electronics, Mathematics and Statistical, but
including Biomedical, Biotechnology, Earth Science, Agronomy, Remote
Sensing and Image Processing. Authors are invited to submit

Paper submission Deadline: August 3rd, 2012.

Notification acceptance: September 10th, 2012.

Camera- Ready: October 1st, 2012.

Workshop date: 12-16th November, 2012.


Paper Submission

--------------------------

Submissions of 4-page article will be open until August 3rd, 2012.
Submitted papers will be reviewed by at least two members of the
program committee. They must be written in English and formatted in
two-column letter format following the guidelines of IEEE-CS
Proceedings. Further instructions are available at

Submitted papers will be judged on the basis of significance,
relevance, correctness, originality, and clarity. Submitted papers
must be unpublished and not submitted for publication elsewhere.  All
accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings, under
an ISBN reference, on CD-ROM support.  Additionally, a selection of
high quality papers, previously presented at the workshop, will be
included in the proceedings published by the IEEE Press.


Author Registration

---------------------------

At least one author of each accepted paper is required to register by
October 19, 2012, and attend the conference to present the work.
Authors who submit papers are implicitly assumed to agree with this
requirement. Failure to do so will imply the removal of the paper from
the program. Each article must have at least one full registration
associated, this rule does not apply when all authors are students.
