Dear Colleagues,
We are pleased to announce that the
y-BIS 2013:
Joint Meeting of Young Business and Industrial Statisticians, sponsored
by ISBIS and ENBIS, will be organized under the auspices of the ENBIS
(European Network for Business and Industrial Statistics) and ISBIS
(International Society for Business and Industrial Statistics). This
conference will be a satellite meeting of ENBIS-13 and will be held
by Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University,
Istanbul, Turkey, from September 19 to 21, 2013, right after ENBIS-13.
The
purpose of y-BIS 2013
is to bring together young statisticians and professionals working in academia and in industry. The conference will offer opportunities to
meet each other, and to share scientific and professional experiences.
This meeting will cover all the research areas of Business and
Industrial Statistics. Complete information can be found in

The
conference registration fee will be between 140 Euro and
200 Euro, and will include conference materials, coffee breaks, lunches,
and all conference social activities.
Accommodation close to
Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University for September 18 to 21, 2013 is
available and can be booked separately (there are 30 rooms available and
the prices are only guaranteed for reservation and payment until the
1st of July).
Young statisticians (up to 5 years after their last academic degree)
attending this conference will have the possibility to compete for the “
Best y-BIS-2013 Paper Award” “
Best y-BIS-2013 Poster Award” (more details in the website).

new deadlines are:
- Deadline to propose Invited Paper Sessions: June 15, 2013
- Deadline for abstract submission: June 21, 2013 (June 1, 2013)
- Notification of acceptance of abstracts: June 24, 2013 (June 15, 2013)
- Deadline for early registration and payment: July 1, 2013
- Deadline to apply for the “Best y-BIS Paper Award”: July 31, 2013
