New double-degree agreements with France

Visit by French engineering school representatives marks the start of new partnerships for 2025 academic year

To celebrate the signing of the double degree agreements with the two French engineering schools, Prof. Jean François Navier, from Télécom Paris, and Prof. Sébastien Reymond, from ENSTA Paris, were present on March 10, 2025.

The International Relations Committee-CRINT, organizer of the event, along with the Coordinator of these Agreements, Professor Carlos Hitoshi, from the Department of Computer Science, was pleased to welcome the two representatives, who presented their institutions to the audience of more than 70 undergraduate students.

In the words of the Coordinator, “The excellence of IP Paris is internationally recognized, having recently been ranked among the 38 best universities in the world by the QS World University Rankings. The agreement allows BCC (Bachelor of Computer Science) students at IME-USP to obtain two degrees, one from the BCC and the other in Engineering from one of these schools. Interested students must participate in a selection process at the beginning of the 2nd semester of each year. Only those who have completed the ideal 5th semester of the BCC can participate in the selection. The selected students must go to France at the beginning of the 2nd semester of the following year, after completing the ideal 7th semester, to spend two years in Paris studying subjects related to the last two years of the engineering course.”

According to the president of CRINT, Prof. Alfredo Goldman, professor of the Department of Computer Science, the Double Degree in Undergraduate Studies “is a unique opportunity, not only to be able to experience a new culture but also to improve in other languages and to obtain a second degree.”
