101: What is the IP address of XXX.YYY.ZZZ?

  If you are at a site with a deficient nameserver, you may need to know
  the IP address of a host to FTP files from it.  You can get this
  information in two ways:

  * By telnet:

      telnet nic.ddn.mil hostnames (or "telnet 192.112.36.5 101")
      @ whois
      Whois: host XXX.YYY.ZZZ

  * By e-mail:

      To: service@nic.ddn.mil
      Subject: host XXX.YYY.ZZZ
           or: whois XXX.YYY.ZZZ
           or: help

    or:

      To: resolve@cs.widener.edu
      body: site XXX.YYY.ZZZ
