The first image shows an induction motor with a coil in the rotor (and also in the stator). Instead of a short circuit in the coil (of rotor), the inductor coil could be connected to a capacitor, creating a LC resonance circuit. Could this scheme still work (as a motor)? If so, maybe the induction motor could become a little more efficient. | |
