From the phenomenological point of view, there is a certain distribution
of the adsorbate on the mechanical separation between the solid and the
gassing phases. This may be expressed, for example, as Q, the moles
adsorbed per gram of solid versus the pressure P. The distribution,
in general, is temperature dependent, so complete empirical description
would be in terms of an adsorption function Q=g(P,T).
In this paper, adsorption isotherms of carbon dioxide on activated carbon
at temperature ranging from 277.4K to 327.2K are approximated by a general
formulation from the numerical analysis theory. Keywords: Adsorption, Isotherm,
Numerical analysis.
