Job description
The Faculty of Economics invites applications for permanent position starting in October 2006, or at a date to agree upon, in Applied Statistics. Candidates must hold a PhD with a strong research profile. The teaching languages are French and English. Non-French speakers are expected to be fluent in French after a four-year period. The University of Neuchâtel encourages women to apply.
The candidate must
- Have skills in one or several fields of research that interest the faculty (multivariate statistics, regression and generalized regression, PLS and Lisrel models, and/or times series).
- Be experienced in statistics applied to management, economics, psychological and social sciences.
- Have good pedagogical qualities and be capable of adapting to students with very varied profiles. (Economics, management, psychological and social sciences).
- Be able to teach either in English or in French.
Teaching Load
Duties include research, administration and participation in teaching in the bachelors and the masters of the faculty of economic and the faculty of letters and human sciences (7 periods of 45mn per week, 28 weeks/year in bachelor or master). She/he will develop researches and collaborations and must provide statistical advice and support in applied statistics.
