The School of Mathematics and Statistics at UNSW wishes to invite suitable applicants for the position of Research Associate. The successful applicant will work on a project "Stochastic Methods for Dynamic Risk Management" funded by the Australian Research Council (ARC).
 
Applicants with proven teaching abilities may be invited to contribute to teaching in the School. In this instance, there would be a variation to the position whereby 25% of the appointment is considered a regular academic appointment funded by the School. Such an arrangement will be contingent upon the suitability of the candidate's experience and ability and the operating needs and constraints of the School.
 
Salary range for Research Associate is A$65,503 - A$70,062 per year (plus up to 17% employer superannuation, plus leave loading). 
 
This is a fixed term position. The initial offer is for a term of up to 2 years, with the possibility of an extension for a further year.
