Re: [ABE-L]: Mais : um pouco de conversa boa

Caros Basilio, Carlinhos e Gauss,

Por comecar, algunos resultados da Copa de Oro:

OK, tenho um livro prezado, "Cidades".

Em este livro podemos ler "To a good friend, who also happens to be our favourite classical statistician. Carlos e Sergio"
!
The XXth and XIXth centuries have been mentioned in the conversao.

I am not sure just which century the above writers thought I belonged to, but I take mine as the XVIIIth because what I believe in is least squares.
Probability is for fun, but least squares are for truth, more or less.

As evidence I can tell you that one semester I taught our principal graduta course in applied statistics never using probability. I wondered if I was
going to make it to the end of the semester around the 10th week, of 15, but when I started doing exploratory time series I realised that one could
go on forever.

For those of you who don't know me, here's a hint - Generalized harmonic analysis and its uncle dynamical systems analysis.
