de Junho de 2011 Resumo: Respondent-Driven Sampling (RDS) is a recent and widely used
method to sample from hard-to-reach populations such as injected drug users, or
sexual workers. The RDS is chain-referral sampling similar to snowball sampling,
where each sampled individual has to bring a few others into the study. The
advantage of the RDS is that it takes into account the social network structure
behind it. In this work, some prevalence estimators are illustrated in a
simulated study and finally some ideas on estimating risk factors are
discussed. =========================================
