Prezados colegas,

Recebi ontem um email altamente suspeito, convidando-me a participar de um encontro científico internacional. Conversando com a Cibele Queiroz, da UnB, soube que alguns professores, entre os quais o Luis Duczmal (UFMG), haviam também recebido convite semelhante. Claramente há indícios de golpe. O teor do email é o seguinte (na realidade, ele é igual para todos os pesquisadores, só muda uma coisa aqui e ali):

O Luiz Duczmal encontrou o blog http://rmm257.blogspot.com/2010/07/spam-ference-in-china-anyone.html onde diversos pesquisadores relatam evidências da fraude. Por exemplo, apesar de você ser "conferencista convidado", praticamente todas as despesas correm por sua conta! Claro que a inscrição tem que ser paga com antecedência e custa a bagatela de 800 dólares. Além disso, no site do suposto evento, você não encontra comitê científico e nem sequer a programação. Por fim, como posso me planejar  para um evento que começará daqui a um mês? Fica o alerta.
