Biostatistician, Hospital Biostatistics, The Rockefeller University

 The Rockefeller University, a premier biomedical research institution
located on Manhattan’s Upper East Side, seeks a Biostatistician to
work in Biostatistics at the RU’s Center for Clinical and
Translational Science.

 Will engage in a wide variety of collaborative projects with medical
investigators and statisticians. Projects involve the design,
analysis, and publication of clinical, laboratory, or translational
research including high-throughput genomic/proteomic. Responsibilities
include collaborating with investigators in the planning and design of
clinical and translational studies, performing data management and
statistical analysis of the completed studies, co-developing new
statistical algorithms, and co-publishing articles in scientific
journals describing the statistical methods when needed. Will train
investigators in research design, biostatistics, and use of
statistical software. Will attend assigned Rockefeller University
Hospital committee meetings, participate in trainings and workshops to
keep informed on biostatistics, epidemiology, and research design
(BERD) related topics, and perform other duties as requested by the
supervisor.

 Masters degree required; educational emphasis in
biostatistics/statistics preferred. Must have experience with
programming statistical software, and extensive knowledge across a
wide range of applications. Excellent written and oral communication
skills are necessary.
