Um congresso de alto nível, como pretende ser o CLAPEM, tem um Comitê Científico

que é responsável por definir quem serão os convidados principais, tanto para os

plenary talks quanto para os mini-cursos, e quais serão as sessões temáticas,
bem como os responsáveis por elas. Ha também uma Comissão Local responsável
pela execução do que foi definido pelo Comite Científico.

Acho que seu comentário é pertinente (mesmo observando que o nível do CLAPEM está
muito bom) mas deveria ser endereçada ao Comite Científico. Escrever para a lista da ABE
pode soar como um boicote, coisa que tenho certeza não é o seu objetivo.

Dear Colleague,

The Latin American Congress on Probability and Mathematical
Statistics, (CLAPEM, by abbreviation in Spanish) will be holding its
13 th edition in Cartagena de Indias, Colombia, September 22 nd to
26 th , 2014. CLAPEM is the largest event in Probability and

Statistics of the Latin American region and has been held every
two/three years in different countries of the region since 1980.
The XIII CLAPEM will include three short courses, six plenary
conferences, eighteen thematic sessions, contributed talks, sessions
and poster sessions.
