Eis que surge um novo "journal" de OO

From Ruth Bürkli:

We are proud to announce the launching of the Journal of Object
Technology (JOT), intended as the primary publication forum on object
technology, component technology and advanced software development.
Since JOOP (the Journal of Object-Oriented Programming) ceased
publication last December there was no world-class journal devoted to
O-O ideas; JOT fills that gap and we hope it will help the field reach
new heights.

JOT is published bi-monthly by the Chair of Software Engineering at ETH
Zurich (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology). The editor-in-chief is
Richard Wiener, former editor of JOOP, assisted by a stellar editorial
board and advisory board including the best-known names in the field.
The publisher is Bertrand Meyer.

JOT applies rigorous selection criteria with the aim of being ranked at
the top level of computer science journals, while catering to software
practitioners in industry through timely, useful contributions. JOT
publishes both columns and refereed papers, as well as product reviews,
book reviews, news etc. The first issue carries papers by Won Kim, Adele
Goldberg, James Odell, Dave Thomas and others, and addresses topics such
as generic services, concurrent O-O systems, dynamic interfaces etc.

Best of all, JOT is free for both readers and authors. You can access
its text online at

    http://www.jot.fm

where you can also subscribe to get notified of new issues.

JOT is the journal of the international O-O and component community and
you should treat it as your publication too. There are many ways to
participate, from submitting articles (see the instructions on the Web
page) to letting us know your opinion (again from the Web page), and
making JOT known by linking to http://www.jot.fm from your own pages and
forwarding this notice to your friends and colleagues.

Welcome to JOT!
