Visiting Professor positions at the Statistics Department,
Universidad Carlos III de Madrid
The Department of Statistics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid offers positions for Full-Time Visiting Professors, to teach courses in English and Spanish in any of the three Campuses of the University beginning September 1st, 2009. Potential candidates must be in possession of a Ph.D. degree and have verifiable research experience in at least one of the following fields:
· Statistics,
· Econometrics, or
· Operations Research
The position is offered for a two-year period. The salary will be based on the regulations of the local Government of Comunidad Autónoma de Madrid (
CAM) for these contracts. The contract may be renewed for a maximum of two additional two-year periods, contingent on the academic needs of the Department. Any renovation of the contract will depend on a satisfactory teaching and research performance by the candidate. Renewal conditions will be discussed individually with each candidate. Once the contract period is completed with satisfactory results, the Department may consider offering a Permanent Position at the level of Profesor Titular de Universidad.
