Acho que essa discussão está ficando interessante e frutífera. É bom
saber que algo positivo emanou de um debate que teve muitos momentos
pequenos (um deles, infelizmente, de minha parte).

Essa é uma afirmação importante. Eu concordo com você. Mas faço duas
observações que refletem *o meu ponto de vista*. (1) Em análises
frequentistas há certamente subjetivismos, como, e.g., a escolha de uma
particular estrutura de regressão. Mas tais subjetivismos são passíveis
de serem testados empiricamente. (2) Uma diferença entre frequentistas e
bayesianos nesse particular reside na condição de segunda ordem: os
frequentistas tipicamente buscam minimizar a subjetividade, que, como
você afirmou, é inevitável. 

Você concorda as afirmações reproduzidas abaixo que o Efron fez em um
paper publicado no JASA? 

(i) "A frequentist is a Bayesian trying to do well, or at least not too
badly, against any possible prior distribution." 

(ii) "Using Bayes rule does not make one a Bayesian. Always using Bayes
rule does, and that's where the practical difficulties begin. (...)
Expert opinion usually does not exist, or may be controversial or even
wrong."

(iii) "Objectivity is one of the principal reasons that frequentism
dominated twentieth-century applications: a frequentist method like
Wilcoxon's test, which is completely devoid of prior opinion, has a
clear claim to being objective -- a crucial fact when scientists
communicate with their skeptical colleagues. Uninformative priors, the
kind that also have a claim to objectivity, are the Bayesian response.
Bayesian statistics has seen a strong movement toward objective
uninformative priors in the past 20 years. Technical improvements, the
computer implementation of Markov chain Monte Carlo methods, have
facilitated this trend, but the main impetus, I believe, is the desire
to compete with frequentism in the domain of real-world applications."
